Although I've since switched from a Canon consumer camera to a Nikon prosumer camera (the D300), I still use the Nikon version of the same lenses. A few in-camera retouching options are also available, including image cropping and red-eye correction. This will be indicated if you receive an error on the LCD; "CARD IS NOT FORMATTED" or "OUT OF MEMORY"or "NO CARD PRESENT".
